Olive + Denim + Black

 {Scarf: BF brought it back from Italy, Dress: Old Navy, Jacket: Ralph Lauren from high school, Boots: Steve Madden}

I wore this outfit a few weeks ago, and just came across it on my memory card.  I do remember that the day I wore it we were having a particularly lovely fall day.  The morning started off crisp and chilly, but by the afternoon it was beautiful and sunny.

I'm one of those people that rarely purges their closet, and this jacket is one of the things I haven't parted with.  I've had it since I was in high school, and I think even since sophomore year of high school. Proof that you can hang on to something long enough to wear it again several years later!

Old Navy Coat Love

I've been a long time fan of coats from Old Navy.  Not only are they usually a great deal, but they seem to pass the test of a few winters.  One of my favorite jackets is a dark blue trench coat that I've had for probably five years and it still is in great condition.  Right now Old Navy has quite a few coats that I'm currently lusting over, and on top of that they're a great price!

Houndstooth

When I lived with my parents, my dad would always call me the "Imelda Marcos of Jackets," and it's safe to say that some things never change no matter how old you get.  I still love buying jackets (but getting a good deal on them) every Fall/Winter.  Jackets to me are such a great investment, and I still have some jackets from about six years ago that look good as new, and I think are still in style.  What's better than that? Although, this Emerson Made jacket doesn't fit in the "great deal" category, it is a beauty that I would love to get my hands on.

Outfit Crush

Red and green are two colors that I wouldn't normally think of pairing together, with exception of course of around Christmas time.  But I really love the cropped jeans, red heels, and green jacket - the "topper" pieces definitely set this outfit apart from a normal jeans and t-shirt.

Potiche

{Blazer: Old Navy, Top: The Limited, Jeans: Gap, Belt: Forever 21, Boots: Steve Madden}

Just a quick post since I just got home from the Portland International Film Festival after watching Potiche.  It was a great French film set in the 70s and gave me many laughs!

P.S. I love feeling like a tourist in my own town, and can't wait to explore Portland more!

Silly blogger didn't post my post yesterday!

Today's outfit crush comes from a local Portland blog - Lisa from Urban Weeds Street Style, peruses the streets of Portland for street style.  I chose today's inspiration in honor of National Breton Stripes day which happened to be yesterday.  Also, I just bought a new gray blazer to include in my 30 for 30 challenge, and I can't wait to style it in a similar way!

Currently Wanting: Military Inspired Jackets

This trend has been around for awhile, but I've yet to purchase one of these jackets yet. I recently came across a couple jackets that I'm currently lusting over. I think that I will have to buy one soon!
