Fill in the Blank Friday

{My 22nd Birthday}

1.   My most favorite birthday was my 17th birthday.  In typical teenager fashion, I thought that everyone had forgotten my birthday, but it turned out that my parents and friends planned a surprise party for me which ended up being a lot of fun. 

2.  My worst birthday was this one is tough, for awhile it seemed like every "even" birthday (18, 20) sucked, but my 22nd and 24th birthdays broke that streak. yay!

3.  My favorite birthday memory is I don't have one that really stands out, maybe just all of the ruckus that happened on my 21st birthday?

4.  The best birthday present I've ever received was a digital camera that my parents bought me or my boyfriend's surprise limo that he rented for all of my friends and I for my 22nd birthday.

5.  The  best birthday present I've ever given was probably the Oregon Duck vs. Stanford football tickets that I bought my boyfriend, and I was so happy that we won the game too!

6.  Birthdays are a great excuse to get together with all of your friends and have a great time together!

7.  My favorite age so far has been 23.  It was a year of a lot of positive change in my life, and a year of a lot of "firsts" as well.

Everybody Everywear - Pattern Mixing

I was so excited that this month's EBEW was pattern mixing, since I've been waiting for an excuse to wear this shirt and skirt together.  The cognac boots also had to make an early appearance on my blog again, because it was a little too cold and breezy to have completely bare legs.  I'm really ready for the high temperature to be in the 80s at least!  Don't forget to check out everyone else's outfits at EBEW.

I'm finally getting around to posting my take on this week's outfit crush.  It's become evident to me that I need another pair of white shorts or my first pair of white pants since I've been gravitating toward them this summer.  Since it's August, have you found yourself gravitating toward any pieces in your closet?  Have a safe and wonderful weekend!

Newly Acquired

I recently acquired a few new things for my apartment due to some sad circumstances, but I'm happy to give them a happy home.  This vintage poster of an old Portland is probably my favorite thing that I got, and I can't wait to frame it.  I also got six of these crates, and am using the other four for storage around my apartment, and love these two for an end table.

Although Forever 21 is inexpensive, I've been trying to not spend money lately, so these are the pieces that I'm currently lusting after.  I especially love the black and white striped shirt since it reminds me of an Equipment shirt that I've also been wanting.  I will most likely have to bite the bullet and buy it!
