Beanie

{Asos}

I've never been much of a hat person, let alone beanie person.  But I wore a hat a few weeks ago, and have lately been drawn to beanies. I think there is a way to wear them in a way that's less "grunge" and more chic-trying-to-stay-warm plus they help keep you warm.  These are a couple of my favorite ways I've seen them worn.

Nordstrom Spring Designer Preview 2012

 {Justine & I}

{Runway, pre-show}

Last night I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Nordstrom Spring Designer Preview fashion show again.  I had a great time looking at all of the designer fashions, and also seeing how the outfits were styled.  One of my favorite things about the show was the model's hair, that was in some sort of chignon/bun look - very chic.  Unfortunately my iPhone wasn't able to take the best pictures, so this is the only "runway" picture that turned out somewhat decent.  Thank you to my best pal Justine for working for such an awesome organization so we could get into the show for free!

Trend Watch: Color Blocking

colorblock

The weather that we have had this past week has made me long for the warmer days of spring and summer.  I couldn't help day dreaming of a time when I can start wearing my high heels and flats again.  Also, I'm excited to wear bright color blocking, in addition to tangerine.  I haven't stopped color blocking this fall/winter but it will be nice to add in some brighter items!

Missoni for Target

Out of curiosity, I stopped by my local Target to (hopefully) see what the Missoni line was all about.  Not only was there only two headbands and rain boots left, but when I woke up this morning, Target.com had already crashed from the surge of traffic.  Hopefully you were able to find something that made your closet happy, I'd love to hear about it!

Portland Fashion Night Out

 {Love the faux fur vest}

 {Kate Spade can do no wrong}

{All of the looks}

My friend Aloysia and I went to Director Park on Thursday to see Portland's Fashion Night Out.  Since it was my first time attending a FNO event, I wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised.  There were quite a few cute looks for both girls and guys, and there was no shortage of people watching either.

Portland Fashion Night Out

Tonight I'm attending my first Portland Fashion Night Out event! Fashion Night Out events are happening all over the country (world too?) and they're the kick off for New York Fashion Week.  I couldn't be more excited to go, but the only thing is I have no idea what to wear.  Any ideas or suggestions that you might have in the next couple of hours would be greatly appreciated! P.S. it's supposed to be in the 90s.
