Trials and Tribulations of Curly Hair

Would you believe me if I told you that in middle school I styled my hair with a bucket o' gel from the good old dollar store? Thankfully I've come a long way from those awesome middle school years filled with braces and "barrel bangs,"but I still haven't found the perfect hair product combination.

I currently use Dove shampoo and conditioner and also styling cream but I'm not 100% happy with the look still. I have naturally curly hair, but like to use a curling iron to define the curls. Please feel free to share any advice you have for fine curly air products or tools!

Any time I find a product online or in a magazine that I want to try, I add to the notes section of my iPhone.  This list is pretty long, but sometimes I'm nervous to spend the money on the products that may or may not work.  With that being said, I have put together some of the items on my wish list, and if any of you have tried them, please let me know!

Poppy King

I'm back! Sorry I took a little blogging break at the beginning of the week, but sometimes that's what you need to do.  Recently I came across this Poppy King lipstick by J.Crew and I am in love with the color.  Lipstick is still fairly new to me, but it is something that is so much fun to wear and embrace.  I think that it just adds a punch of personality to any outfit.  This lipstick is at the top of my "beauty to-buy" list.
