Outfit Crush

This week's outfit crush is a little different than normal, because I'm longing to go to the beach.  Although I don't have any trips planned to a sunny destination I could wear this in my backyard to tan.  After all, like most Oregonians I could use some more vitamin D in my life and lounging in the sun in a cute bathing suit is just the remedy!

Recently I've been busy trying to pack up an over cluttered apartment before my impending move.  I did, however, find some time to enjoy the little things in life.  How was your weekend?

Couch Dilemma

I think it's time that I face the fact that my couch has seen better days.  I bought it from a V.A. sale when I went away for school and it was vintage when I bought it.  Originally it was in great condition, that is until my cat got to it.  Right now I'm trying to decide if it's worth spending the money on virtually rebuilding it: foam, springs, remove hide-a-bed, reupholster, or just get rid of it.  I've moved it a couple times and it weighs a ton, and now I need to decide if it'll be worth all the work needed.  What do you think? If you were me, would you keep it and try to rebuild it?

Outfit Crush

Although before last year I hadn't tied my shirt in a knot like this in a long time.  I think it's a fun way to make a button up top more casual, and it's also a good way to make a work outfit perfect for after work activities.  Since if you're like me you tuck your shirts into your pencil skirt, so after work all you need to do is knot it and voila a different look.

Portland Bloggers Meet-Up

This Saturday is the next Portland Blogger's Meet-Up.  Not sure what it is? I recommend emailing Jenni, the host to find out more information.  The last event was so much fun and I met so many lovely people that I can't wait to go to the next meet-up!

Decor :: Gray Walls

Last week I shared that my boyfriend and I are moving into a house.  One of the first rooms that we're planning on repainting is the master bedroom, because it is currently Key West/Jamaican colors.  We love the idea of a gray room, but didn't want all of the walls to be too dark.  So instead of doing all four walls dark gray, we're thinking three lighter with one darker as an accent wall.  These are a few of my favorite paint colors and looks. (The paint colors are given if you click on the links)

Outfit Crush

I'm back after a little computer hiatus with a trusty outfit post.  What's a better way to get inspired by your closet than heading over to JCrew and seeing its take on a classic outfit.  Personally I've been wearing my trench coat four out of five work days and love this look with a crisp white top and blue jeans.  I don't think you can go wrong with a nice white button up blouse for any day that you're feeling less than inspired by your closet.

In about a month my boyfriend and I will be moving ... into a house! I couldn't be more excited to no longer share walls with strangers and have a place to park my car that isn't at risk of door dings why are people so rude?.  The living room in our new place is somewhat large and I've been trying to think of table and other decoration ideas.  These are a few of my favorite dining rooms, some of my other favorite looks can be found here.

Outfit Crush

I love a splash of any neon color, but I am really loving neon/highlighter yellow right now.  This look would be great for cooler spring days, all you need is black jeans, jean jacket, and a bright top.  Couldn't be easier, right?

Canada, Eh?

On Friday I mentioned a little weekend getaway my boyfriend and I were going to take.  We drove to Port Angeles, WA and then on Saturday took the ferry across to Victoria BC.  We lucked out with the weather for most of the day, and only once back in Port Angeles ran into rain. If you haven't been to Victoria before I highly recommend it.  It is such a cute town and really fun to walk around!

This weekend my boyfriend and I are celebrating our four year anniversary a couple weeks early by going on a mini-roadtrip.  Stops include Port Angeles, WA and Victoria BC.  I couldn't be more excited to get away for a couple days and explore two beautiful cities!

Happy weekend!
